Hi, I’m Saffiere

I am a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, and a Member of The British Art network

Originally from Wales but now living in Kent, I spend my time working at our charitable arts centre, The Maidstone art Centre and at my own studio in Maidstone Borough Councils Art Hub.

I host affordable and super friendly art sessions for wonderful people who come along, make friends and find joy in creating.

Over the last 5 years, I have been empowering my community to get involved with art. I created The Maidstone Art Centre as a charitable community arts hub. I have been honoured to deliver art lessons, workshops, community events with the help of some wonderful volunteers who gave their time to get involved. I have been humbled by the wonderful people I have met along the way and am still convinced that Art is the best thing you can do for your mental health, you can get lost in the moment, feel calmer and ultimately feel happier.

The sessions I have run encompass everyone from my community, children, adults, young people with autism, the elderly, the with dementia and their care givers and I feel proud to have been able to contribute to my community.http://www.themaidstoneartcentre.co.uk

I am now focusing on my own art, I believe in affordable art which people can own. I use various mediums and charge as little as possible as to me, the joy I receive from someone purchasing a piece of my art, is all the riches I need.
